PRIVACY POLICY

Tritone Literary Publishers takes your privacy seriously, and believes that protecting the privacy of anyone receiving our emails is very important.

PERMISSION

Tritone Literary Publishers collects email addresses on a permission-based basis, which means we require your permission to send emails. We obtain this permission by requiring that recipients are customers, readers, businesses, or organizations who have specifically asked to receive emails by opting in or signing up in some way, generally by inputting their email address into abandoningpretense.com‘s or kristenmae.com‘s landing pages or popup sign-up forms, or by adding their email address to a third party sign-up form, as in the case of giveaways. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. We will not sell or rent your email address.

YOUR INFORMATION

Information you voluntarily provide: When you sign up for our newsletter, consult with our customer service team, send us an email, or communicate with us in any way, you are voluntarily giving us information that we collect. That information may include your name, physical address, email address, IP address, phone number, credit card information, as well as details including gender, occupation, location, purchase history, and other demographic information. By giving us this information, you consent to this information being collected, used, disclosed, transferred to the United States and stored by us.

Information we collect automatically: When you use our newsletter services or browse one of our websites, we may collect information about your visit to our websites, your usage of the services, and your web browsing, including, but not limited to, your operating system, your browser ID, your browsing activity, your IP address, and other information about how you interacted with those websites and other websites linked through our site. This information may be collected as a part of log files and/or through the use of cookies or other tracking technologies, such as pixels and web beacons, to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, serve targeted advertisements, and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level.

Information from other sources: We may partner with third parties to display advertising on our website or to manage and serve our advertising on other sites. We may also obtain information about you—including, but not limited to, demographic information, device information, location, and online behavioral data—from third party sources, such as public databases, social media platforms,—including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,  and YouTube—third party data providers and our joint marketing partners and Amazon, Nook, and iBook affiliate sites. We take steps to ensure that such third parties are legally permitted or required to disclose such information to us, but any information, communications, or materials you submit to us via a social media platform is done at your own risk without any expectation of privacy. Your interactions with those features and platforms are governed by the privacy policies of the companies that provide them. Any information we receive from any of these sources, we may use, alone or in combination with other information we collect, to enhance our ability to provide relevant marketing and content to you and to develop and provide you with more relevant products, features, and services. We may also collect certain information in addition to information described elsewhere in this policy from mobile applications, such as the type of device and operating system you use, how often you use the application and other performance data. We may ask you if you want to receive push notifications about activity in your account. If you have opted in to these notifications and no longer want to receive them, you may turn them off through your operating system. We do not ask for, access, or track any location-based information from your mobile device.

Web beacons: We may use web beacons on our websites and in our emails. When we send emails to subscribers, we may track behavior such as who opened the emails and when, who clicked the links, your IP address, your browser, email client type, and other related information in order to measure the performance of our email campaigns.

USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may use and disclose personal information for the following purposes:

To send you informational and promotional content in accordance with your marketing preferences. For example, if you have opted in to our newsletter, you will receive emails about new book releases, book sale information, review requests, and other related information. These emails will be coming through a third party service, such as Mailchimp or Mailerlite, which requires adding your information to those newsletter sites. You can stop receiving our emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in every email we send. We may also use your personal information to advertise our newsletter or website to other users or potential users like you. We may also partner with third party advertising networks and exchanges to display advertising on our websites or to manage and serve our advertising to you on other sites, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. We may share your personal information for the purpose of serving you ads on these other platforms.

To send you system alert messages. We may inform you of temporary or permanent changes to our newsletter or website, such new features, updates, and changes to our Privacy Policy.

To protect the rights and safety of our subscribers and third parties, as well as our own.

To meet legal requirements, including complying with court orders, valid discovery requests, valid subpoenas, and other appropriate legal mechanisms, to prosecute and defend a court, arbitration, or similar legal proceeding, to provide information to representatives and advisors, attorneys and accountants, or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. If you have an unresolved privacy or data use concern that we have not addressed satisfactorily, you have the right to  consult a third party dispute resolution provider such as TRUSTe. Under certain conditions, you may be entitled to invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.

CONTESTS, GIVEAWAYS, AND SWEEPSTAKES

We may occasionally offer surveys, contests, sweepstakes, or other promotions on our websites, newsletters, or through social media. Participation in these promotions is completely voluntary. Information requested for entry may include personal contact information such as your name, address, date of birth, phone number, email address, and similar details. We use the information you provide to administer these promotions. We may also use the information provided to communicate with you, or other people you select, about our products. We may share this information with our affiliates and other organizations in line with this policy and the rules posted for the promotion.

We may also retain and use your information in order to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our Agreements.
